Parents Refused to Pick Up Illegal Teens Being Deported
March 15th, 2007 @ 12:44pm by Kevin Tripp/KTAR
The kids are being deported, but mom and dad are lying low.
Three teens are on their way back to Mexico, but their parents are here in Arizona.
The high school students were busted for drag racing in Gilbert on Saturday night.
The driver said he didn't have an Arizona license, but did have a Mexican license. He and his friends were subsequently deported.
The Mexican consulate talked with the teens and called their parents, but no one wanted to pick up the kids.
"Our understanding is the parents were here illegally as well, illegally present in the country as well," says Lauren Mack with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The teens are now in the hands of Mexican authorities.

Spud....I agree it's not to compare the best to the worst......the difference is the guy who stabbed his kid is going to jail and will be punished for his actions. Too many crimes committed by illegals are going un-punished or glazed over simply because they are illegal.
It's them screaming about family values and causing an uproar about enforcing laws. I doubt anyone is going to be screaming about not having that guy who stabbed his kid not pay for his actions simply because he's a father.

Their parents are cowards and they don't care they will just spit out a few more. If their kids come back and find them I only hope its to kick their a$$e$!
This only goes to show you an illegal will sacrafice their own, just so they can remain criminals. These parents abandoned their children. If those three kids and their parents were U.S. Citizens, and an U.S. Citizen failed to claim their underage children, DCFS would have been all over them. Like I said their parents are CRIMINALS, on so many levels.

These sort of stories are just sickening.
Parents clearly that were breaking the law - have kids that were also breaking the law and then were caught at it.
The family values show forth something that most on the media don't like to focus on since it totally goes against the view of the illegal as 'law abiding people just looking for a better life' mumbo jumbo that is usually spouted.
The pattern the parents set are the same one that the kids followed.

What I would like to know is where were all are the pro amnesty advocates at ? Where are the protesters chanting families are being torn apart. If the parents are illegal can they really address that issue ? How fast would La Raza show up to demand an investigation of possible civil rights violations. These pro amnesty advocates keep telling us how in the Mexico world God comes first-families second is to me seems only a myth.
So if I understand spudmust throwing a child out a moving car window is no different than parents abandoning their kids tells me she has attented one to many La Raza meetings.

Because they came to America to work. The kids are on their own [until they are 18, then they can "invite their parents to be citizens]

Because they don't care. I saw a illegal aliens child almost get hit on the street and the mother was not any where around. They just want more kids for more money from the Government.

The way they are acting is disgusting!! You back up your kids no matter what. If the child is leaving so should you.

Lowlifes...........
I am way too protective of my kids to do that.
We need people of moral fiber. They need to hunt down those illegal parents and arrest them for abandonment.

When comparing your group with another, it's important not to compare their worst to your best. Is this story an accurate reflection of Mexican parents? Certainly not. There was also a recent story about a American man who stabbed his eleven month old baby in the back with a knife and threw him out his car window. Is that story an accurate reflection of American parents? Of course not. Whenever we hold a strong opinion, we look for information to support that strong opinion and ignore information that contradicts that opinion. This is a perfect example of that phenomenon. In every group, there are good people, and bad people, but mostly just people. Normal people with normal thoughts and concerns. The sooner we stop villianizing those we don't understand or agree with and start seeing them as human beings like ourselves, the sooner we will come to real solutions to our problems.

The parents are obviously afraid of being deported, otherwise they would have made the effort to pick their children up before they were deported.
