no becasue the sensor bar needs to be in front of you and the console is not always in front of you....

No it would not be because then you have to elevate the wii console in order to recieve arm movements etc. Also many people own a small tv and only people with larger tv's and larger tv stands will be able to play without problem.
it's really quite simple lol :)

it does't need to be infrount of you, i know someone who has a wii, and they have it behind the tv and it still works fine. Yes i agree wht didn't they build it in. Nintendo are so thick!!
