if this is so those who die when in battle and win the v.c would there family or next of kin still pay tax for there relatives efforts

Absolute rubbish. The only concession a VC gets is a small Pension which is tax free and other officers have to salute the holder of a VC.

It is not true, they pay tax like anybody else. There is a pension attached to the VC and the GC which may be tax free, but not their earnings.

Rubbish, although a pension awarded because of a disability arising from a war wound is not taxable.
