What household product would you find sodium hydroxide?

and.. a drain cleaner has hydrochloric acid in it, right?

Sodium Hydroxide can be found in soaps or detergents.

And yes drain cleaner does contain hydrochloric acid.

Drain cleaners generally contain bases and i just looked at my drain cleaner and it has sodium hydroxide. it did not say that it had hydrochloric acid but i dont know what has hydrochloric acid.

You can find HCl in muriatic acid, which is often used in driveway or pool cleaners. Several medications contain HCl.

It is used extensively in manufacturing of many household items; from purifying water, making PVC, to making table salt... the uses are endless.
