Hell no! It would burn right through your clothing. I think you mean NaOCl, sodium hypochlorite, the active ingredient in bleach. It is produced from a reaction of chlorine gas with NaOH, sodium hydroxide. Yet it is basic and corrosive, just not as corrosive as NaOH.

Thought it was Sodium Hypoclorite. Or was it chlorate? Hydroxide is used in Drano.

Regular household bleach is sodium hypochlorite. NaClO
