I'm not entirely certain what your question is, since it's written so poorly.

I'm not going to sit here and apologize, though, for things that were done by and to our ancestors from hundreds of years ago. If you want a perfect example of what happens when you give the land back to its "rightful owners", look at Israel.

I am a real American. My ancestors have lived here for at least 400 years. They came here with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and traded beaver pelts with the Native Americans. They didn't come with a deed of ownership, but instead saved their hard-earned money to buy the plots that they built on, and I'm pretty certain they made their own soap.

I could care less about my ancestors. I could care less about your, or anyone else's ancestors. They're dead, so they cannot speak for themselves, and with all the b.s. ranting on this site, I'm glad. This means less people I have to deal with in this world on a daily basis.
I'm here, was born here, and have a claim to this land as a birth right according to the Constitution. Immigration is a fundamentally good thing, more workers more money. Money = good, get it?
However, illegal immigration (no matter what race) is wrong. Hence the word illegal. My 3-year old step niece understands the meaning of wrong and she barely speaks English either. So what's the problem?

My ancestors came to America with nothing but a trade, they were farmers, and it wasnt long till members of my family had to fight wars to save the freaking desert land they were farming, Americans earned the freedoms we have, and we wont back down from that right ever.Im 4th generation here,in America,And Im still working hard to give my kids more than I had,You dont come to this country looking for a free ride,American tax payers already send millions of dollars to other countries, and pay millions more for illegals, hell I wish I could go to the dr for free, you can talk **** all ytou want but when our kids come home from Iraq, they want soverieinity, and it wont matter much to them to kill a few illegals, after all the corporations just want you as slaves, and the politicians are just using you for votes,Doesent that shame you? Why dont you fight for your own country you whinning baby.

They didn't come here with a sack of gold or a pony....but they did come here legally. They passed the physicals and were then just thrown into the general public and expected to learn the language and find work on their own. No freebies. No special considerations. No free education. They made it. Since I'm such a mix of different nationalities including the native American Indian.....I can just assume they made great efforts to get along with everybody and did. NO ONE got rich. I was the first through GENERATIONS to go to college and I had to work for that. HARD WORK and HONEST VALUES got them through.

Philosophical answer: The land owns us. We can't take it with us, but it takes us with it.

Political answer: If you are not a citizen, and are not authorized to be within a nation's borders, you do not have any business being where you are. It's the same as breaking into a (wo)man's house. Not right is not right; and, breaking the law is not right.

Is this a reference to land the U.S. won from Mexico?

Did it ever occur to you that if the U.S. ever returned these areas that they would soon degenerate into the chaos and poverty endemic in Mexico?

Do you know why Canada is prosperous and Mexico is poor? Corruption. Mexico has ever possible advantage: great sea ports, strategic location, great climate, oil reserves, young work force, etc. But the rampant corruption in Mexico keeps them from making any progress.

So, anyone should be thrilled that these areas are now part of America. If not, they'd soon look like Tijuana.

The world.. that means the governments of other countries besides the USA... officially recognize that the USA is the USA and it belongs to the citizens who are officially recognized as citizens of it.

It doesnt matter if people came to the USA with a document of ownership. It matters how it is now. And the USA is a country, that other countries recognize as a legal country and its up to YOU to deal with things as they are.

On my father's side my great-grandparents immigrated here legally.

On my mother's side I have some Cherokee, and my British ancestors colonized this land.

You all really miss the point don't you? It's not the immigration that people have a problem with. It's the massive influx of illegal immigration. They are draining our system in so many ways from our health care to our prisons. We end up having to pay for it...LEGAL AMERICANS who PAY TAXES. Get it now?

Yawn.

We built the schools and fund them and the services people come for.

We got it the same way any country get their land, and every country has immigration laws.

We have every right to enforce ours.
