No, they are not the same!
Methylated spirit (or Meths, also denatured alcohol or surgical spirit) is ethanol which has been rendered toxic or otherwise undrinkable, and in some cases dyed. It is used for purposes such as fuel for spirit burners and camping stoves, and as a solvent. Traditionally, the main additive was 10% methanol, which gave rise to its name, but this is not always the case now. There are diverse industrial uses for ethanol, and therefore literally hundreds of recipes for denaturing ethanol.

No. Methylated spirits is ethanol based. It's dyed purple to indicate toxicity Turpentine is extracted from the resin of pine trees. White spirit comes from petroleum. It's also known as turpentine substitute or shortened to turps though, which can be confusing.

No, white spirit is nearly same as turps CDC got it the wrong way round. Turps is purple and white spirit is clear. Think about it, why would they call is white spirit if it is purple. Newgran has the wrong idea completely, smell them, not same smell and not same colour, not same spirit.

No, Turps is turpentine which is purple in colour and meths (metholated spirit) is clear, they both do the same job though. I think most Turps you find in DIY stores now is substitute.

I prefer both fruits and fresh vegetables better, regardless how they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

In the event it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.

As long as you get a loaf of bread, take out the crusts and make a small hole in the bottom of the bag and then strain the metho through the bread and enjoy.
