NO,Thats not true because it will take the earth 100's of years if not thousands of years becaus ethe earth is going to keep changing and unless we do something you know that there is probably gonna be a ice age. And you know try to use the least bit of fossil fuels because even a bit of help will be good for the enviroment. Good luck on finding more answers. You have asked a really good question.Keep it Up!

Its not really a thing you can predict, I mean as skilled as scientists are today their is still so much that they don't know about the world and the universe. Tomorrow a tornado could wipe out half of Canada. Or the world might come to a grueling end when the inside gets sooo hot it exploded, this is not at all likely to happen but nothing is impossible. As for taking care of the earth It should be mandatory, I mean its It home, its why we're alive. So scientists can make up theories based on past knowledge but it doesn't necessarily mean its going to happen
Hope I helped

It is nonsense. First off, we couldn't do anything to save the earth if it was headed for destruction. Some people are easily convinced that man is bad and that we are destroying everything, and that we are all going to die if we don't listen to them. It says more about them than it does about the earth. It says nothing about the earth. The earth will move on and so will we, baring some all out nuclear war with Russia or massive asteroid or volcanic eruption. The asteroid and volcano chances are practically nill in our lifetime also.

Well as no-one has yet proved that it's possible to predict the future I should mark this one down as a theory.
Prophets of doom have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years... and so far they've been wrong every time. No doubt one day they'll get it right but there's no reason to expect that it'll be anytime soon.

This will not be the last generation. I ride on a bus that I see 15-year-old girls with babies. So, there are a few more generations to go.

I think you're going a bit too far. They were saying that in the 70's when we were supposed to be out of oil by 2000 and entering an ice age.
