A lot of people ask me why I'm not a model and that I should be. Should I take this to heart and actually try to be one or just take it as a commpliment?

you can audition and see what happens. just make sure to ask other models around in the area for a right agency so you dont get a stupid scam.

scam agencies usu ask for money to like advertise you or something stupid like that. usu its pretty obvious, but just to be safe i would go to the one that someone you know is in.

Depends on how tall you are and if your willing to re locate to another city. Unless you already live in New York or LA. Usually models are discovered but there are agencies in big cities. Never ever pay them. If your the right "look" then they will give you a contract. Also remember to get a good education. Unless your like Cindy Crawford, whose still modeling after about 25 years, you will need to get a job when people get tired of your look.

If it's what you want, then definitely go for it. Personally, I would do it; I've done modelling, and it's a lot of fun. Just smile and flaunt your curves, swing your hips when you walk, and dress up and get paid for it! What better job could there be? I'm not saying you have to cat-walk. You could just do print work, or something. Good luck! If it isn't what you want, though, just be glad you were born with a model's body and look.

I model it all depends on if your pretty enough and you have good skin cuzz makeup can only do so much. You've got to be devoted to modeling though but have other jobs on the side cuzz its not a lifetime thing. One moment your the face of covergirl next moment some other girl takes your place. Basically decide carefully your heart gotta be in it though remember that.

modeling is tough if you are going to do it because someone thinks you are cute enough to be one, you will never get very far.

you have to have the drive, strength and personality to overcome all (and there will be many) obstacles that get in the way.

modeling business is expensive and there are many backstabbers that will do what they can to get where you are.

plus you usually have to have someone to help you get there, like a promoter.

you have to start with pictures taken from a professional photographer which costs about $300.00 from the start.

then you have to show the book to agencies who are not interested in you etc. you have to make them believe you are the next Tara Banks.

then comes auditions that you have to get to no matter where they are, do you have the transportation and the time?

can you take of of school/work to get to these auditions?

research the idea, look into websites of models and see how they did it.

then go from there.

Who gives a crap what other people say? If thier a guy they might just be trying to flater you. But if what you want to do w/ your life is be a model then go for it. But everyone in the fashion world might not be so kind so unless you know thats what you want and it's your passion then don't try because you'll just get your heart broken.

is modeling something you want to do? have you ever watched antm? it would be something that you would have to be really committed to. i told my niece that she should be a model. and i really meant it. she is tall, beautiful and has a good personality. everything that she needs to be a model. but she is going in the National Guard. go figure! her younger sister is going to be taller, probably more beautiful and also has a good personality. so i hope antm is still around when she turns 18. maybe she will take my advice.

Take it as a compliment first, and then if you really think you want to pursue being a model, then go for it. If you go for it- Good Luck, as it like any other profession, requiring dedication and hard work.

everyone needs dreams to work for. If this is something you are interested in then go for it, but if your just taking others ideas and running with them this could make you very unhappy in the end. what do you want to do if its be a model then go for it

If you are at least 5'7'' and slender go for it. Remember that Tyra Banks was a model and she was a little heavier than most models. I think she was the heaviest, but she was the most attactive to me.
