I love high heels, most ladies Ive seen wear them. I think its sexy and gorgeous! BUT I cant seem to wear them at ease. In the midst of it, my calves and lover back aches so much and its a sheer torture! Not to mention the blisters! I ended up wearing flat pumps. Pls ladies, share with me your tips, how do you wear heels at ease??? Does practice makes perfect? What about expensive heels, are they way better than the normal ones? *sobs*

Buy Dr. Schol's gel cushion inserts. Make sure you wear a nice sheer stocking and put lotion inside your shoe and lotion your feet just before putting on. This is a secret from the old school models. I use to do a little modeling and those heels were high as hell. So I just followed those rules and there you go. It also keeps your feet moist and smelling good (smile)
Good luck. Don't give up on Heels that is one of our famous sex appeals. Enjoy. Also when you buy cheap heels make sure the size is bigger than your actual foot size.

Hun, I can't help you! When I was young, around 20, I used to wear those killer heels, but now I'm almost 50 and don't even give them a try! What I now wear most times is practical 1 or 2 inch heels. They are feminine too and don't ruin your back and foot bones. I don't know how I could wear those heels when I think of it!... (OK, I was 30 lbs lighter)...

I read recently in a "glossy" fashion mag that the people from Monolo Blahnik recommend wearing heels around the house and do housework etc in them so you can get used to the height. Personally I've given up on heels, the balls of my feet hurt too much when I wear them. Having said that, apparently those gel cushion things are pretty good.

Heels and "pointy squish my toes into the front" shoes are bad for your feet - ask any foot doctor.

When I was *younger* - in my teens and early 20s, I too had to wear the latest fashion, which at the time was 4-inch+ heels and pointy toes. I felt like Cinderella's step-sister trying to squeeze into those things!! Pain in the ball of my foot!!

Net result? My feet became deformed and formed severe bunions, which resulted in surgery on both my feet to straighten the bones out. This didn't happen overnight - it was from years of wearing these types shoes.

Ever since my surgery, I've *walked* away from those types of shoes - I don't need the pain for the sake of fashion. Yeah, they look nice, but no thanks!! Not going thru that surgery again...

well yeah if you are not used to walking in heels it is gonna be hard and you are gonna bust your but. so it is better to work your way up to a higher heel. or maybe start off with a thicker heel at first. dont start off walking on a little twig of a heel. heels are great but they dont always feel great. make sure you get a heel that fits you good. if it doesnt feel right then dont get it just cause it looks good. standing up or walking in a hurry is gonna mess you up . practice does make perfect. just walk around the house some like when you are cooking or doing the laundry so you are not concentrating on your feet and it will come to you

Of course expensive ones are better than cheap ones. They're made of better material that are stretchier and more comfortable.

I can go shopping in high heels, my friends are all jealous. But then I've been wearing them for about 15 years, my feet must be used to them by now.

Start with a low kitten heel and then work your way up and pay that little bit extra for more comfort - good luck.

My fella always says, you need to spend good money on shoes and your bed cos if you're not on one you're on the other.

For blisters this is a FOOLPROOF guaranteed way to stop them rubbing (at least until you get home!!):

Vaseline!

Yep, that easy (note- lip balms dont do the same trick!).

As soon as you get a slight twing that the shoes are rubbing, whack on some vaseline- hey presto! no more blisters.

Seriously, this trick has saved me on more nights out than i care to admit!

As for the aching... Im not sure.... A quick foot rub in the toilets?! As a short-a55, i broke through the pain barrier at 13 and now my feet have no feeling ;- )

Cheap shoes rub more and get out of shape quite quickly so they end up looking cheap, unfortunately there is nothing to do about the pain but just try and endure it a little longer each time and to wear heels freuently.

i always had trouble, even now i cant wear them for more than a couple of hours at a time, i wear soft leather ones, to soften heel part, rub dry soap around seams that hurt, my heels are usually around £50, theyre much better than cheap ones
