goth look, therefore when I go someplace nice & get dressed up I would like to wear black nylons or at least a dark shade. I want to make sure that this looks good & will always be one of those things that stays in style. Also, do you think I need to wear them to cover up an ankle tattoo or in this day/age does it matter anymore what's showing or not?

I know it doesn't matter to many females whats on display but it sure does matter's to me.!!!
I don't see anything wrong in wearing black nylon's, I always wear them if i wear a knee length skirt, would never wear a shorter skirt.
If your tattoo bothers you wear your nylons otherwise if you feel comfortable with it don't.!!!

I think black or charcoal nylons look good with anything dark or neutral, but not with white, where nude looks best. I wouldn't worry about the tattoo. If you are wearing something too light for black, try taupe. I detest white nylons and wish those poor nurses didn't have to wear them.

Black is a timeless color in fashion --always looks great whether it's a dress/nylons, pants, etc... Good luck w/the Goth look..my nephew just grew out of it...:)

i think they look great with short skirts and dresses...if you are worried about your tatoo you can buy Dermablend.i got mine on ebay and it is water proof..it is thick makeup and looks awesome...
if you really want to wear black nylons in summer you can tie it into your outfit...in other words if you wear a white dress you can wear
a black and white scarf black bracelet and black hat..(or any accessory)
that way it looks put together
