If you do a google search on eyebrow threading you can see a video on it.
I have done plucking, cold strip waxing, nads, hotwaxing and NOTHING compares to threading.
This truly is an artform. It is fairly new but catching on fast in the U.S Women in India and other countries do it.
They take a 100% cotton thread and kind of "lasso" the hair, several in a line and are able to pull it out by the root. Less painful then waxing and very fast. Also I never was able to achieve the arch I have now until I was threaded.
They can even catch the teeniest of hair..You dont need have to grow hair out like waxing in order to make the wax stick. It is all natural and no chemicals, They reccomend this for people who are on Accutane or have sensitive skin.
It is also cheap! Mine costs 10 bucks. I have seen it in other cities for even less. If you do a search for Indian Beauty Salons in your area, or search by your city and Indian Community Directory.
I suppose you can always pay 55.00+ to have it done at a day spa..But its the same technique. And these women were trained by alot of the women who came over from Asia and the Middle east.

For one, the most painful **** in the world. But it's worth. They do it over here in Iraq. It hurts but I get it done every two weeks. Basically, it's thread (the kind you sew with) that's takes your hairs out of your head. It's almost like with tweezers. It's like the thread is scraping against your skin and is pulling the hair up from the roots. It hurts but it last. The only reason I go every two weeks is because if I let more hair grow in, the more they will have to take out, therefore more pain I will have to feel. But, hey, with beauty there comes a price. I think what they do is twist the thread up and the twisted part is what pulls the hair out. But the more you get it done, the less pain you will feel.

Threading eyebrows has become more fashionable in recent years, thanks to coverage in the media. As you probably know already threading has been used in Asian and Middle-Eastern countries for decades, and is also known as khite. It is performed using a length of twisted cotton to catch and pull out the hairs

It's where a thread is used to remove hair from the skin. It can be kind of painful.
