It's not particularly related, except through neurobiology. Well, there's also the making of the equipment you use, but that's more physics than chemistry. Sorry.
On the other hand, do you like to eat? Chemistry is very involved in that.
And while I never was a smoker of any sort -- and in fact vehemently oppose smoking, especially of tobacco -- it would be very tempting to do a project on oxidation of dried leaves. ;)

Okay, maybe this is a little off-the-wall...but playing all sorts of clarinets for years, I know that there are different materials used for clarinets, which affect the sound of them. Plastic, resin, wood....that might be something you want to talk about.
You could also talk about reeds. Synthetic reeds are a relatively new alternative to cane reeds, and perhaps you can look into the chemical composition of synthetic reeds. Unlike cane reeds, where you have to moisten it before you play to get the sound to vibrate, you don't have to moisten a synthetic reed--you can instantly play it. So maybe you can research about synthetic reeds and cane reeds.
Again, I'm not sure if this is helpful, but maybe you can use it for your project. Good luck!

I don't see any relationship between chemistry and music. I am a chemist with a music hobby also. There is however a relationship between physics and music (wavlengths and octaves) if that is an option.

sorry john, but music is all physics, and only force causes the vibration, and thus the traveling of sound waves.
