Hhhmmm...that's a good question. I would say its the soap and lotions that mix with our natural scents to give off a nice smell. I have been told by a lot that I smell good without all the perfumes and what not so I take that into a count and I go more natural than wearing all that perfume. I personally love using my body wash from caress because they smell really good and they leave my skin feeling very, very soft. That's usually my main source of smell and my husband loves it, as for perfume I do from time to time use Burberry, Babyphat, Curve, Victoria secrets, and a few others. I think that you should find a smell that works for you and what makes you feel comfortable wearing. But if you want the natural smell just use body wash and lotion, you know things that don't stand out as much but still make you smell good without over powering your natural smell.

I use most of the perfumes I have in lotion form first... Like my Issey Miyake. It is delicious in lotion form and doesn't actually smell like perfume.
People just think I smell fantastic!
My hair smells nice naturally the oils have a pleasant scent all their own... I smell nice everywhere...
It is from a good, healthy diet I guess? Fresh fruits and veggies and lots of water!
and I have always taken really hot baths in baking soda once a week for like FOREVER... since I was a kid. I use frou frou soaps too.. French glycerine soaps mostly...
It neutralizes your bodies PH and leaves no scent what so ever... Then whatever you put over it shines on it's own.

You can get a nicely scented lotion, and if you put it on while you're still warm from the shower it tends to soak into your skin and last longer than if you do it on dry skin. There are also body mists available that aren't exactly "perfumes" but have a cleaner, lighter scent.
It also has to do with your laundry. Use a fabric softener, bounty (I think) makes a nice lavender vanilla scent.
Finally, it depends on what you eat. Women who eat "clean" foods naturally smell nicer than those who eat alot of fried food or junk, because what you put into your body comes out through your pores.
Hope that helps!

Shampoo/Conditioner can make a big difference. I know this sounds dull but Tesco Conditioner smells lovely, I started using like a week ago, and my boyfriend noticed straight away my hair smelled different.
Another good way is layering smells without perfume. Even though I hate Britney Spears, I love her perfume 'Curious', so to smell slightly of it I just use the shower creme and body lotion without the perfume.

It has a lot to do with a person's natural scent. The mix of the scent of their skin with their sweat. Not the kind of sweat you see on someone playing sports, but the dampness in their skin.
That is why some cologne, or perfume, can smell 100% different than it would on somebody else. I know there are a lot of cologne's that I would never wear, because it does not match my natural body scent.

You have your natural smell. If you can smell yourself you are wearing too much perfume.
Well I only use dove soap my skin is sensitive, I'm a fan of body cream from bath and body works. My favorite smell is brown sugar vanilla, vanilla, country apple. Right now my favorite perfumes are babyphat goddess, este lauder's beyond paradise.

Yes, we use lots of products that have scents....shampoo, hair styling products, soap, deodorant, body lotion....
Also, some women find very light perfumes and don't overdo it.
