do not give asprin to a cat. it takes three days to process, unlike dogs who can have it every few hours like humans can. cats are very different medically, unfortunately there's not much available for cats for pain. call a vet for recommendations.

Why are you giving your cat aspirin? If it is something internal like arthritis, check out Protec at healthquest.peoplesway.com. This is natural and made of plants, you can open the capsule and mix with food, but i gotta tell you it doesn't taste good out of the capsule. If it is a skin abrassion try the Oil of Mink. But the cat will love this and lick it off so you will have to do something to stop it from licking itself. If you search peoplesway at youtube you can see a video. All the products are natural and contain no fillers. I know of cats and dogs that have been given protec, and some that have drank oil of mink because they got the bottle open. No ill side effects.

Cats can't have aspirin. Human pain relievers are toxic to them.

None. Aspirin is toxic, often terminally so, to felines (cats). Best way in the world to kill one. See your vet for appropriate feline pain killers.
