Dems OK hearing on border agents
Congress probing possible influence by Mexico on Ramos-Compean caseDemocrats have approved a congressional hearing to explore Mexico's possible influence on the prosecution of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

The request by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif. – ranking member of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on International Organizations, Human Rights and Oversight – was approved by the panel's chairman, Rep. William Delahunt, D-Mass.

As WND reported, documents indicate the Mexican Consulate played a role in the events leading to U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton's high-profile prosecution of Ramos and Compean, who are serving 11 and 12 year sentences for their role in the shooting of a drug smuggler. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54686

It's a good sign that Congress is looking into the actions that have taken place, and determining how many were fair and how many were corrupt.

If the trial of those two agents was fair, then that's it. If the trial was unfair, then that's grounds for appeal. If the prosecutor was corrupt (but the trial was fair), then the prosecutor goes on trial.

At first glance it looks like a good sign, but I'm still skeptical. I agree with the previous post, I wouldn't count on the Democrat party to stand up for American interests when it comes to illegal immigration, terrorism, or anything else that doesn't benefit Hillary's approval rating.

This whole case is bulls.h.i.t. Those gentlemen were DOING THEIR JOBS and should be unconditionally released. I hope to see them sue the hell out of the federal government someday.... and I'm against frivolous lawsuits.

I actually have wondered about this all alongside and am satisfied to work out that probably some thing will be finished to work out if this befell. the most important human rights violation that has befell in this united states those days is that Ramos and Compean were put in reformatory for doing their job! The situations that they at the prompt are in - are ones that i imagine all that had some thing to do with this can obtain double the sentence given to those 2 adult men and placed in the very similar situations.

I'm glad that this case is being explored and I hope that these two men will be released with a huge public apology from the President and politicians.

It sickens me that our own people are being prosecuted for protecting this nation in the first place.

It's time Mexico gets a taste of the American ***whooping.

Mexico has no right telling us how to run our country. how would they like for us to go in their country and do what needs to be done to bring down the drug lords?

I don't think you should count on the Dems for any support with anything regarding illegal immigration. I don't understand why the defense attorney haven't asked for a new trial.

Well its not a bad sign. This whole thing is such a sham anyway. We shall see what happens. I hope we get to the bottom of this but a hearing doesn't sound all that promising.

To the guy who answered after me, um look at what he wrote its was a R who proposed it , he just had to get the D's to agree to it.

Yes, they're only Democrat guest workers doing the jobs Republicans won't do.

it really needs to be looked into. it's a shame when one country has to do what the other country wants. and for what? do they think they can threaten us and get away with it? no, we beat them once and we can beat them again. they know this, that's why they keep talking smack to us.
