Why do parents these days say: ?

Why do parents these days say like
Your too young to date! Or like, Your too young to even wear any makeup.

And were not were 12-14.

The answer could be several things (the reasons being mostly Psychological):
-Perhaps your parents didn't date/ wear make-up at that age
-Maybe they did at that age, and has regreted it for some reason
-Maybe they are being overly-thight on their children out of fear or the desire for their children to be under the parents control

Think of how a five year old looks to you, and that is how you look to your parents. They see you as very young and in need of guidance, and they don't want you to get caught up in the serious issues of life before you have to. It may seem fun to wear make-up and date, but both can lead to trouble. Make-up can cause skin problems, and once you've had one or two bad break-outs you can end up with scars. Also guys will think you are older, especially if your body has matured, and they could want things from you that you don't want to give them. I didn't have a boyfriend until I was fifteen, which I think is a good age. My sister is 13 and I would not want to leave her alone in a room with a guy. There's too much adult content that kids her age have been exposed to, so they have the knowledge without the ability to see far enough ahead to weight the consequences. And because she's almost 6ft tall and has developed, guys my age hit on her! Which is disgusting.
When I was 12-14 I thought I should be allowed to do whatever I wanted, and now I'm out on my own and really can do whatever I want, but I've learned that its not good to ignore advice from people who have more experience because there were times I could have saved myself a lot of money or trouble of I had listened.
The make-up industry is trying to create what you already have! Women pay tons of money for 'youthful' appearance.
Lipgloss, glitter, nailpolish, colored mascara, all seem good for young girls. Eyeliner and foundation seem gaudy. There are two little girls who come into my work with about an inch of black eyeliner, we call them "Bozo and Ronald" because they look like clowns.

Well, I am twelve. And as far as the make up goes I have been wearing since about 10 and 6 months! My mom doesnt care! I never wore eyeliner and lipstick until i turned twelve. As far as the dating, I don't want to. Yeah I have crushes and times when I do wish I had a boyfriend, but I'd rather just be free for a while!

because when parents were growing up in their days all of this stuff taht we have now a days was not aloud to them they all lived very hard and strict lives so thats why they think thats the rigth way to live and then on the other hand they just care about ur safety they dont want no boy hurting u

12-14? You still have your natural beauty. Makeup was made for old people and ugly people. 1) to make them look as they did in there youth, 2) to make them look more attractive., most people look good without it anyway. Take it as a complement. You'll be wearing make-up for the rest of your life.

It is not just these days, they have been saying it forever, My grandmother said it to my mother, my mother said it to my sister, my sister said it to my neice, my neice will say it when her kids get older

And you will say it to your kids.

All kids should be annoyed this way, It's payback time for stuff that annoys the parents.
