You can try a "freebie" incentive site. By spending about $100 to $500 in hard cash, you can get a good $1500 to $2500 notebook computer. Depending on how motivated you are, you can complete the requirements within a few weeks time easily.
Your best bet on checking these sites is to go to scams.com and read the forums to find legitimate offers. Or ask there directly where to go. People are more than willing to help you get stuff.

Ebay Ebay and more Ebay. Sell a few things you've been holding onto like those old audioslave CDs and your collection of piano music.
Then, buy a nice laptop off of Ebay and you'll probably save yourself a few $100 for the same quality laptop.

Find out if anyone in your community need help with lawns, groceries and housework. Try helping mothers out by picking up kids after school. Alot of mothers have this issue.
another thing would be to get rid of things you dont use and sell them.

buy a computer for $300. there are plenty of decent ones for this price (sometimes after rebate). or you can look on Craigs List for a free or almost free used computer.
