Biting your nails severely damages your nail beds, as well as the potential for nail growth. I wouldn't recommend getting a manicure just yet. If you want to see your nails heal, stop biting them. In a couple of months, you will start to see your nails heal themselves. If you keep up the routine, you will start to see your nails grow longer. Wait until your nails are fully healed and a bit longer to get a manicure.

Oh my gosh we have the same problem! You can make them look long without growing them. Try a french manicure. Or fake nails. That is what I do. Hope I could help! Good luck!

Prenatal Vitamins- This sounds odd but ask ANY pregnant woman or just do the research. The vitamins will make your nails and hair grow longer and healthier.
Actually I think I seen the same thing sold as Hair & Nail vitamins.
You can get them at Wal-Mart in the vitamin aisle.

you could still get a manicure even if your nails are short, unless there is broken skin. what you should do to help them grow is eat alot of foods high in protein, this is good for cell growth in your body and healing. also, drink alot of water.
and most of all do not bite your nails

Get sally hanson nail polish- there is one for "maximum growth" that you put on everyday and by 10days the nails are longer. Also, take vitamin E and don't bite them!

go to the nail salon.. they work magic on short nails.. the better you take care of them.. the more and faster they'll grow..
and that nail polish stuff they make to "help you stop biting your nails" doesn't work.. yess it doesn't taste good.. but it doesn't stop you from doing it.. i used it.. and i still bit my nails even though the taste was pretty bad.
goodluck..

soak your nails in olive oil for ten minutes each night , will harden them as well as give them strength to maintain growth. Then you can give yourself whatever great manicures you wish

a French Manicure (with white tips and pinkish polish) will make your nails look longer.

You have to quit biting them. I am also a biter, but I go and get acrilic nails put on so that I don't chew them anymore.
