Hi, It depends if your look is it more commercial or fashion
and what maket you live in Ny it is more fashion, where a smaller market like Boston, Maryland etc.. are more commercial
there are major fashion markets where models are usually 5'8 and over .. but anyone can work in the commercial field as long as they have the look and requirements the commercial clients are looking for.

Ok. Your never to young to start modeling. Just keep your eyes and ears open for chances. Try signing up with a modeling agency. The average for a model in heighth is 5'5, weight depending on how tall you are, is about 115-120. It takes endurance and a strong mind and heart. You have to know that it comes with ups and downs. Sometimes your not gonna get every job you try out for. Also know that it is a very mean business. In your beginigng years you will be treated like your nothing, like you don't have a brain or feelings, respect usually only comes when you make BIG! This is where you need a lot of endurance, and strongness, so that you don't get sucked into the brutality of it all.

Modeling is usually never a long term career so models usually start pretty young. Maybe around 16. You can't really complain what you're wearing if you feel uncomfortable ect. Since you'll always be evaluated by the people that are considering you for hire, they may always say for example no your eyes are too strange or something like that. Don't take it personally, that's the main reson why models have low self esteems even though they are beautiful. As for how tall it really depends on what kind of modeling you want to do. If you want to do runway modeling then you have to be around 5'8 or taller. I hope that you become a great model. Good luck. :D

First of all, I want to say don't let people tell you , that you have to be perfect to become a model.I agree with the facts that you need a great personality, smile, self confidence, and most of all motivation and will power. You don't have to be a certain weight to feel like a model or become one.If you have the qua lites the weight doesn't matter. You have to be able to be told what to wear and not complain unless it is something you don't feel comfortable in (like anything dirty unless that is what you want)...I know you can start off my by asking local retail stores about modeling stuff for their customers to get noticed/And here is one more thing. You might want to check into a local modeling agency school.I was 16 and went to a school call led Barbizon Modeling in Raleigh, NC It was closer for me at the time.Try some of this tips and I hope they work as they did for me at 16.Juts do one thing, expect people to put you down, but that is where self assurance comes in the picture , don't give up if one person or agency turns you down.Keep going for it....Have a good time and hope I was a help....

usually 5'8" and up. You should start modeling now so you learn more and plus being old in modeling is about 25. You have to be able to take rejection because there is always someone tell you that your not skinny eough or pretty enough. But there is always going to be someone who thinks the absolute opposite. You have to just keep your head high. And it helps to get a great LEGIT agent. if anyone makes you pay for them to be your agent (unless its a modeling school) then they are not legit.

What It Takes- Strength, determination, courage, and no hideous deformities.
How Old- Any age.
How Tall- To do runway, you have to be 5"7. Other than that, you can pretty much have any height as long as you're not too short.
How Heavy/Light- You probably want to have a toned-but-not-too-muscular, thin shape.
Note: DO NOT get side-swept bangs. Models don't have them, I guarantee you.
Hope that I helped!
