Has anyone had an outdoor wedding and what was the things you loved and hated about it? I'm thinking about doing it but nervous because only seen it on movies and can't get an idea of how it will really be.

Thanks

Our outdoor wedding was beautiful. The only downside was that we held it in August and on our wedding date it was 105 degrees outside. So if you do an outdoor wedding, make sure its during the fall or spring so its not scorching hot out! Our pictures turned out beautiful because of the natural lighting. I highly recommend them because you can use the natural beauty of the area as part of the decor/theme, etc. Good luck and congrats!!

My wedding was outdoors and it was beautiful. The biggest factor that decides a great outdoor wedding is obviously the weather. We were lucky enough to have a perfect, clear day at 80 degrees! If you know that your wedding will take place during a normally mild weathered month, you should definitely try it. It's so much more fun, especially if you're an outdoor lover. Good luck!

Outside is really nice, The only problems with outside weddings are the weather. Either it be so hot no one can stand it, or be pouring down rain which would ruin everything.

Make sure to have it when there is less chance of rain. People can stand the heat, but rain would be good. You can rent tents so that if it did happen to rain people will be sheltered from it. Its hard to decorate outside weddings because of it being so big and open, so having tents will close it in making it easier. You can do more outside than inside a church such as you can throw rose petals without worring who will pick them up later. You can realse wild butterfiles which look so amazing when you have each guest realse them. Have fireworks is a great setting as well. Having a band would be best for outside weddings, and have a dance floor either it be cement or rug. You will need one. You can go to yahoo and search up outside wedding tips for more details.
Congrats!

the outdoor wedding is the best. if you find the perfect location you will have the flowers and the backdrop. many people have used town parks family or friends flower gardens and even church yards. find a spot you like and go from there. many parks have really nice shelters and just a few flowers and ribbons are all that are needed too decorate. outdoor weddings are really nice for those you invite because those attending can dress casual. making for a more relaxed and comfortable wedding for you and your companion.

We had our wedding "outdoors". (It was in a large tent with open sides - the sides were able to roll down in case of rain). It was a breezy day - so we weren't able to have vases of flowers out like I had wanted (they almost toppled over). Also, wind can be a factor for candles, if you're planning on having any. The tent was great to protect us from the sun (and rain if it were to have happened), but we found it created a bit of a wind tunnel. Other than that, it was wonderful...pics turned out great!

if the wedding is going to be outdoors also look for a location if weather is bad to hold it inside or have a tent handy if you plan on having the wedding out side of a hotel or something you might talk to them to see if weather is bad can it be held inside without causing a big disturbance

I had an outdoor wedding. Loved it. We did rent a fairly enormous tent, in case of rain - but we lucked out and it was beautiful.

Just make sure you have a "Plan B" in case of rain. Go for it.

We were married in a church, but our reception was in our backyard. You can go totally over the top or simple depending on your budget. We were married in the summer, so the reception was nice (around 6pm). Play around on the internet. You'll find just what you're looking for.
