Greetings all!

Today I spent the better of 4 hours changing the front brake pads on my Altima. I wanted to change my rotors put I couldn't pull them off, either side. I whacked them with a rubber mallet, used a bunch of WD40, but I couldn't get the darn things off.

Any advice out there? I should would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Larry

I'm not sure on your Altima, but on some front wheel drive cars, the rotors are bolted to the hub with the center CV joint nut. You have to remove this nut to get the rotors off...not usually an easy task. Takes a large socket, and an air powered impact wrench, usually. The Link below illustrates the front caliper/rotor removal process for your car. Apparently, the rotor is supposed to just slide off.

maybe your rotors are screwed on, check around the lugnut studs there may be two positive drive screws holding them on.
