Try the John Sahag styling products, specifically the No Frizz spray gel for curly hair, it is fantasic, it can be used to straighten hair or to set the hair in a curly style, it doesnt get crunchy at all, then you could use the John Sahag Dry Oil as a finishing product, it is simular to a pomade, but isnt as gooey.. it would help to moisturize your ends and add shine to your hair, you can avoid putting it on top of your hair where you are more oily, Also try the John Sahag Air Power finishing spray.. its so soft and flexible but still manages a great hold.. and great smell too. These are available in salons only though..Hope this helps

I know your problem. It happened to me.
You're probably using way too many products!
Next time you wash your hair, just shampoo and condition. DON'T put any products in it when your done. I understand you may not like your hair without products in it, so maybe do it on a day when you don't plan on going out. From now on, use no more than one or two products in your hair, and don't use excessive amounts either!
