You can go to the registry office, that may be cheaper than a church service. There are other types of licence these days and there may be a venue near by that you can have a weeding and the reception at.

Don't know the area but I've looked for unusual places to get married in Bristol.... I've opicked these 2 links as thought venues looked pretty!

I'm about to get married myself and also do not have a great deal of money to spend, but if you go to the Chamber of Commerce website of your state or any other for that matter, you'll find everything you need.

Why not think about goin abroad to get married, we got married in cyprus last year and it was quite reasonable.we just had a few family members there which made it really special and it doesnt cost the earth

We got married in my husband's parents back yard....it was absolutely beautiful....nature did the decorating for us...and it was free.
