I dont have any medication I can take to ease them - also, I dont know anyone in my first or second hours, so I cant even ask them.

Of course, cramps can be very painful and debilitating. If you are suffering that much every month then its worth going to see your doctor so he/she can give you something to help. There is plenty he/she can do for you, its a common problem so dont be embarrassed. Curl up with a hot water bottle eat chocolate and take it easy!

Yes sometimes if bad enough one may have to stay home from school. If these kind of cramps are happening often that they are severe enough that you can't function then you need to be evaluated by a dr.
Discuss your concern with your mom or a trusted adult friend or other female family member, or even the school nurse if you can't talk to your mom.

Depends on how bad they are. Usually cramps go away in a couple of minutes, but it really depends on the person.
Have you tried taking Ibuprofen? That stuff works wonders for me. Or Midol works pretty good too.
Drinking hot tea will get your mind off of them too, and putting a warm washcloth or something over them.

Well, I've had cramps before its ok. But don't stay home if its mild-moderate cramps. If its severe severe, yeah, stay home. But if you get used to it, it will help.
