Well, it's not a film, it's live theater. Like on a stage. And why shouldn't it be promoted in India? I think it's great that he's laying the foundation to have a career after Harry Potter, because we all know how pigeon-holed he would be otherwise. "Hey look! It's that kid from Harry Potter selling toothpaste!"

The play (not a film) won't come to India. And it doesn't matter whether it's Daniel Radcliffe or not--"Equus" was written to have a nude scene in it, which probably would not be acceptable in Indian theatre, no matter who the actor was. It is possible to do the scene without nudity, but the sexual nature of the scene would probably not be acceptable, even if the actors were wearing clothes.

well i feel tht this movie shud come to theatres....but the problem is just that young children who love watching harry potter might take it in the wrong way....but daniel just did it to get over the character of harrry potter and its fine for him as he is matured enough to do whatever he wants but the fact is that i would never be able to like t=him that much as i did earlier because he doesnt look gud as naked and i really felt bad seeing him like that but thats my problem and as an actor he is doing nice but people and specially parents of india are very tensed becausee of it because harry potter movie was seen by many small children too and parents feel that equus would have a bad impact on small chidren's mind
but overall i fell daniel has done the right thing as a character but the scene could have also done without showing nudity and it would have been better.......

I don't understand how people can think of actors as role models.....what role are they playing anyway? they play different roles in different plays or movies....everyone thought of Harry Potter as a shy person who couldn't muster the courage to ask a girl for a date....so to break such identity or belief...Daniel Radcliffe took up a different role and went to the extremes of not being shy. Is there any balance in his thinking or his roles in any way? Stop calling him a role model for teens or whomsoever.

yes of course so, people seem to think just because they "know" an actor in a certain role, means they have some rights to his life. dan radcliffe is not hp and never will be. he's an actor and it's none of anyone's business if he wants to get his kit off each and every day.

If you ask me, Daniel is just saving himself from getting stereotyped. He may be playing Harry Potter, but he isn't Harry Potter!!!! He's an actor, and being an actor, I think he should be given the freedom to potray any character he wants.
