copying and pasting is when you take words from a document and move them to a different document; ( comes from before computers where you would have to actually copy an article from a book, and paste/glue it into another article or book

to copy and paste using a pc, you highlight what you want to copy (by holding down the left mouse key) then once the area you want is all black, you push ctrl+c and then move over to the word document that you want to save the text into and push (crtl+v)

or you can do the right click method the other person who ansered on here talked about

It is used to copy a line of text. You highlight the text then right click on it and choose copy. Then in the space that you would like to insert the text right click and choose paste. You can also highlight the text and press ctrl+c to copy and use ctrl+v to paste, instead of having to right click and choose the option that you want.

click the items or words that you want to copy and move the mouse while pressing the left button to highlight it. right click on the highlighted then click copy. Go to the screen where you want to put what you've copied or paste. right click again then click paste.

this can be done by dragging your mouse starting from the firts sentence you want to copy till the last word
then right clik your mouse, clik on "copy" then transfer it to your documents or any other file you want to place it to by right clicking again and click paste. that's it. you're done.
