Okay, after millions of diagnostics and anti-virus/trojan/spyware/adware/maleware scans, along with about a week of tinkering around with my system, I can still not figure this one out.

I cannot connect because certain prots are blocked.

HTTP (port80)
HTTPS (port443)
and
FTP (port21)

are all blocked... I have been checking all my firewall settings, and network configurations fort about a week straight now... [at least 82 hours]

But I cant figure it out nor do I know how to unblock those ports

Does anyone know how I can unblock them?

Are you running anything like Norton Internet Security or Zone Alarm, if you are make sure those programs are turned off (totally) and then try.

There has be an application that is locking your ports.

Another test is to go into Command Prompt and type

telnet www.google.co.nz 80

Your screen should go blank and just the cursor in the top left corner will be blinking. Press CTRL + ] to exit telnet.

If that worked then your system isn't blocking port 80, there must be a problem with your browser.

You can try this out if you are running Windows XP. You can reset your TCP/IP using a utility called netsh from the command prompt.
Also do a search for hosts and lmhosts on your PC, and make sure they do not have any strange entries. If you are not comfortable enough to do that I would suggest taking it to a PC repair shop. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you may have acquired a virus that wasn't detected. Try to delete your current Internet Setup and then reinstall a new connection.

if you are running a firewall go into the firewall's exception list and click your browser's name so the firewall will allow it to function. also click on file/work online. if this doesn't help then do this.

download firefox http://www.mozilla.org/firefox then get the plugin called fasterfox so it will run as fast as internet explorer
