My desk top is in 768x 1024 and holds true till I log on with I.E. to people pc. I'm baffled as to how this change accured without my input. Before the screen would auto-adjust and now it won't. I updated spybot but-it reports no problems. I have no 3rd party toolbar and keep my i.e. properties set tight. My machine is only 8 months old-(win xp mce with sp2). What the heck?

Try holding down the ctrl key and turning the scroll wheel on your mouse. That allows you to increase or decrease the display size just within Internet Explorer.

Not all websites will stretch to the sides of your screen. Some websites themselves are locked into the 800x600 size.

To change it back, right click on your desktop, click properties--settings tab, move the slider to where you want it, click apply, ok..Good Luck..
