has anyone on here claimed it and how long after you sent the form in does it take to come through or for you to get a reply. i do work but am on the higher rate child tax credit so got told i do qualify, relaly need it, have got 9 weeks to go.

If you can take the form to your local jobcentre plus, they'll check you've filled the form in correctly and send it to the appropriate department for you. My friend recieved her grant directly into the bank 5 days after taking it to the jobcentre, but the staff at your local branch should be able to tell you roughly how long it will take to process. Shouldn't be much more than a week though.

I claimed it, but was not allowed to do so until I had my baby, so you may have a wait!
It took from me sending off the application 4 weeks for the money to come into my account.

hi, am an experienced mother of 2, currently having my third....
you should apply now its not too late you can claim up until your baby is 3 months old!
the process usually takes from 14days up until 28 days.

you can claim it 11 weeks before baby is due if you are eligible, I also worked but could only get it once my tax credit payments were being made.

you can claim it from 29wks and if you drop it off at your local office it shouldn't take to long before its in the bank, my cousin dropped hers off on the Monday and had her payment the following Tuesday!!
remember to get the midwife/doctor to sign their part of it or it will be sent back to you!!

hi i claimed it, i think it took about 2 weeks to get it, if i remember it got paid straight into my bank account, and yes you will get a letter.

claim it now and it only took us 5-7 days
