My computer was connected to the internet but a friend came over to use it and now i can't get back on the internet anymore.At the bottom of my screen a little box pops up and says network cable unplugged but the cable is plugged in and the box is on but it just won't connect so can someone help me and tell me what to do ???

i have done both of those things and it still will not work .cause the router box also is hooked up for my desktop computer and it works fine but it won't let me get on the internet on my laptop it sometimes says limited are no connectivity and i have called my internet service provider and they said there was nothin they could do about it.

make sure everything is hooked up correctly, then reboot your computer. if that doesn't help you could call your provider.

Be sure the cable didn't go bad. Then unplug the router for 1 minute and plug it back in again. That should fix it.
