lol ... i have the same problem ... use a smoothing or straightening cream that night (i use ones that work best when you heat style) then, continue straightening, but dont use a shower cap, use a silk wrap, twist your hair up and wrap in the silk (u can find fancy ones, but i just use a silk scarf) becaus this will keep it from breaking as you sleep, and allow it to breath where as a shower cap traps it up and lets it break ... this should work pretty well ... then when you get up just turn the iron on and just before you leave glide the iron over strands that are still some what wavy and u should be fine ... also .... i have thick curly hair ... so i got a straightening perm ... theyre not expensive , you can even buy cheaper home kits ... but they cost close to nothing .. i got my first one done at the shop ... this will help your hair stay straight always ... i get 2-3 a yr .... theyre awesome ... so i suggest try getting one of those ... use the silk scarf, and wash hair with a straight and silky shampoo (only twice or three times a week) {oh i use smooth intense in an orange bottle} and it should help alot ... gl

do you have a ceramic iron? you should use that if you always straighten it. so it doesn't burn your hair. or get a magic straight. (perm straight. there are several terms for it..) if you want it permantly straight. not forever but for about like a couple of months or maybe a year.
i think curly hair is beautiful! i have natural straight hair. and its sooooo boring. i think you should leave your curly hair:) but not like just curly . put like gel on it or something so it won't get frizzy.
look up some curly hair ideas on google. i don't know how your hair is like, so i can't get you any pictures but let it be natural:)

I suggest to have a japanese straightener done. It is permanent and will last for 1 yr. It works and you do not have to do anything to your hair or put any products. I had it done in December of 2005 and my hair is still straight.....

try putting it in a low loose pony tail the night before. i used to straighten my hair the night before too. i did it so much that when i would roll over in bed at night i would sit up and then roll over. the pony usually always worked for me. just touch up in the morning.

Well i would actually suggest u going with your own natural hair. Ironing completely damages hair! instead, getv spiral curls with a curling iron and u wont have to do our hair as often and it will still look great!

I had a friend who used to comb her ironed hair around her head (like wrapping it around), then put a cotton tight hat and slept with it, every night.
I tried it a couple of times and worked wonderfully, but it's a little uncomfortable to sleep with that on your head.

I don't know how long your hair is but you can wrap your hair in a circular motion(use duckbill clips for control) and tie your hair up with a silk or satin scarf (head wrap) It's easy once you get the hang of it.
