I have heard numerous times that you are not supposed to wash curly hair every day - and to wash it only a few times a week! I have tried it, and my hair does not get greasy but after sleeping on it I wake up and my curls are all deformed, or it'll get tangles in the back and it becomes frizzy.
So, how can you have curly hair and not wash it every day without it looking all disheaveled in the morning?!
I have tried spraying it with water in the morning and "reshaping" the curls but to no avail. It'll still look flat on top and frizzy...

What they mean by "not washing curly hair" is not washing it with shampoo. Believe when i am telling you you have to CONDITION more than SHAMPOO (wash).

You have to wash (shampoo) curly hair every other day. What i do is one day i shampoo and condition the next i will just shower with warm water and then condition.

Another tip when you go to bed don't go to bed without clipping your hair-meaning i usually use a small butterfly and scroll my hair into a semi "french roll" and then pin it. The next day my hair is all fluffy and the curly look good. I just need to fic the top and ends. I do this when i don't shower in the morning or are gonna run a quick errand or whatever..

Hope that helped.

I have extremely curly hair and I sleep on a silk pillowcase and get up in the morning, spray my hair with water and add a little more product(the best curl product i've used in Redken ringlet. Kinda expensive but totally worth it) I can go 2 days with washing my curls. Eventually, my hair starts to feel dirty so i have to wash it. Dont forget to use ALOT of conditioner when you wash your hair it helps to moisturize it. You can also run your hair under cold water before you get out of the shower to seal the cuticle and eliminate frizz. Hope this helps!!

Use a silk pillow case and your hair wont tangle or friz, just slide around nicely while you sleep. Works very well, that's what the old ladies use that only do their hair once a week and their hair style lasts all week. Ask your grandma :)

BTW I have greasy hair and wash it everyday. Everyday. Because I have to.

So did you perm your hair, or is it only curly? in case you permed it--- attempt now to not wash it on a daily basis until eventually it truly is with a particular shampoo. some shampoo's will say on the bottle "smooth sufficient for on a daily basis use." seek for one among those and use it when you've worn your hair with gel. you are able to also attempt a weekly clarifying shampoo which de-gunks your hair from the gel. yet another issue--- attempt to apply a curling serum in case your hair is only certainly curly. attempt John Freida--- it truly works truly properly. reliable luck!!

Okay, know how you feel.

I take a shower, maybe, 3-4 times a week. When its all matted I put it in a scrunchie. I keep it in the scrunchie, then, a day or two after wearing it I take another shower.
And shampoo about 2 out of all showers.

try putting it up when you sleep, or using a head wrap. You aren't supposed to wash your hair everyday, not matter if it is curly, straight, short, long, whatever.
