I have no earthly idea about the codes that you named, but I had the same problem with my 2004 Stratus. I had to have my transmission totally rebuilt--just as my warranty expired. It hit me up for $2,000 almost. Good luck with your repairs.

I understand your reluctance, but I would take this to a shop. There are too many codes and sounds like too many problems to try to do this yourself. You will save money by taking it to the shop.
I would tell them everything you have said here, be upfront and tell them you found lots of codes. Not telling them everything you know is only going to cost you more money.
They can do the diagnostics step by step. Meaning that first they can tell you what they will charge to do an initial diagnostic service, scanning the vehicle, getting the codes, looking them up, etc. Then for each code, they can tell you what diagnostic time they would need for the testing. But once they have a better idea of all the codes and problems and you know what they are, you can make a decision on what to deal with first.
Then you can approve one service at a time, you will know ahead of time what it is going to cost for diagnostics. Then the repairs can be estimated, again one by one. You don't have to have it all done at once, just one step at a time.
734 gear ratio error in 4th
732 gear ratio error in 2nd
700 eatx controller dtc present
1781 od pressure switch sense circuit
1782 2-4 pressure switch sense circuit
and from what I can see there are quite a few causes for each of these codes, all of which need to be checked out first. I just don't see anyway that you, or your friends, can do this yourself.
The first codes are related to your transmission, so could explain the problem with the gears.
Maybe the check engine light isn't working, does the light come on when you start the vehicle?

Again, I have to say take this to a professional. Ask for an intitial diagnosis, so they can check out the codes and symptoms for themselves, and verify your complaint. It looks like most of the codes are related and they could find the problem much quicker than you ever could, that will save you money.
Then they can deal with one problem at a time, give you an estimate for diagnosis and then for repair. You will be able to authorize one thing at a time, no worry for an out of hand bill, you will be in control.

If the belt broke, the engine is junk seeing it particularly is maximum definately an interference engine. the only ingredient that could reason a timing belt to break may well be age, positioned on, warmth and friction. additionally the timing tensioner would have failed inflicting belt to fail additionally. look at approximately 3000 money to get it replaced. And that doesn't contain exertions.
