Basically, three things separate the 500 from the 600 PS3.
1. Wi-fi is built in on the 600 PS3.
2. 600 PS3 has 60 gb, while 500 PS3 has 20 gb.
3. 600 PS3 has various card slots.
Basically, it all comes down to whether or not you want the Wi-Fi capabilities, and whether or not you want to spend an extra 100 bucks to get Wi-FI and those other stuff.

Well the $600 one basically (besides having wi-fi) only has a bigger hard drive (60 GB) so if you intend on downloading a ton of stuff off of the PlayStation Network get that one. But if you're not going to be downloading things like mad get the $500 with the 20 GB harddrive.
Although if you have the 100 dollars to spare it would be nice to know you have that 40 extra gigs for the future of downloadable games and content cause who knows what Sony's going to do...Warhawk download only?

Personally I would buy the $600 PS3 because it has a 60 gb hardrive when the $500 has a 20gb hard drive. It has built in internet compatibility and it nicer lookin chrome and all but thats what i think
