This happened to me once. I believe he is trying to tell you something. My grandfather had been dead 15 years when it happened to me.
I would suggest trying to remember and take note of all the details even the small ones,in you dream. If you should happen to get it again.
Maybe keep paper close to the bed, so if you wake up and should happen to remember something you can write it before you forget it.
Mine was very odd. I was dreaming a scene that had already happened in reality word for word, while my Mother and I were doing laundry once. However,in my dream the only difference was grandpa was there standing next to us and talking to me and mom could not see him. I couldn't hear his words clearly, but the third or fourth time I dreamt this, he clearly said " Easter is a time for resurection." and winked at me. I thought it strange but managed to remember it well. A few days later was Easter, and we had strange weather that year, so Mom and I ended up at Grandmas house, spending Easter with just her... instead of the whole family. She dug out some old letters that she had found from way back in the late 30's that Grandpa had written to his relatives in Denmark and they had wrote return letters on the backside and sent them back to him. She opened each one and read them outloud.
There was one part of a letter where he told a joke and it made us all belly laugh, but I can't rememeber what it said. Although in the joke, "resurection" was somehow in it. We all laughed so hard and all three of us ended up bursting into tears at the same exact time.
It sounds strange, but I was so moved by that experience, because I knew his spirit was actually there with us at that moment, and that we were all somehow sensing him there, but we said nothing of it to each other. I know that's what had made us cry that day.
I feel in a way that by all three of us being together remembering him fondly he was somehow resurected in some way, shape, or form, and he knew that it would happen that day, and wanted to tell me he would be there.
Sorry the story was so long. Weird it definitely is,I know. However, every word is 100% true.
I have a feeling your grandfather is doing the same thing and hopefully you will have that dream or a similar one again.

Did you get a chance to say good bye to him before he passed away? Were you two close? I mean, as much as one can say goodbye. The mind plays many subliminal tricks on us, and if you've always felt that you never really got that chance, it may just be that you've been thinking about it and it's coming across this way in your dreams. I don't necessarily think that he's trying to send you a big message or anything, but he could be just letting you know that he's around. But more than likely, you just never really got that chance to tell him what you felt you needed to say, or to have that last conversation with him, and your subconscious knows this.

I know after my great-grandmother died, I had many unpleasant dreams that if this car drove over this big white "X" in the road, she would be killed, and she did die in a car crash. I would get so upset, but I think it was my subconscious mind's way of dealing with the pain of the incident. Once I realized and could accept it for what it was, the dreams started going away. Good luck to you!

Yes I would say he is trying to communicate to your through your dreams and he could also just be trying to let you know he is still with you

Do you ever get a chill up your right hand side or the hairs on your arm stand up that could be when he is with you ?

Our relations that have pass over do come back sometimes just to comfort us or if we are ill they come to heal us

Love & Blessings

He could be sending you a message. Pay attention to your dreams and watch for clues. You should be able to piece together what he is trying to tell you.

I personally think it is a sign. My dad had a similar dream about his dad[who is dead right now]. I don't think it's a bad thing though.

I dunno. I ask the same thing. Mine died when I was 6 and now I'm 15, I've been dreaming of him since he died. My sounds similar to yours. My mother also dreams of him, but in them he is comming back from the war or telling her to be careful about something. I'm sorry I didn't help. Also shrinks don't help with this stuff! Trust me.

I think it is not a important thing, if he wants to tell you anything he must say it before his gone. I think you can just pray for him to be good there.
