What is a threshold? What is a positive threshold dose and a negative threshold dose? Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about medicine dosages then I'd say that positive threshold is the minimum effective dose. Some medicines don't have any effect if the levels given are too low. Like you can add water to a cup but it won't overflow until you reach the positive threshold, like when it is full.

Negative threshold in that case would be the highest dose that won't have an effect.
