Think about where that kind of talk might have come from. Who are the people who are saying this? Did you say something to someone that might have been taken the wrong way? Some people are jealous and insecure. Some people can be cruel gossips. Make sure that if you did say something that could have been mistaken..that you talk to the person you talked to. Set the record straight. If not... Ask your friend where she got the information. If she wont say..there isnt much you can do but show her the truth in your future actions. Give her time to get over this. If she doesnt. Let it go. You will make other friends in the future. Just treat others the way you want to be treated and if you cant say something good about someone...dont say anything. Life isnt always fair or fun. Just learn from mistakes and dont repeat them

I asked a question sorta like this and found out that all drama starts from opening your mouth. Not many people are truly your friends so they will try to make you look bad with even the simplest things. You don't need to prove yourself to anyone but you need to prevent situations like this from happening again and look at the source-could someone be jealous?

What did you say when you allegedly talked about your friend.? Who told your friend that you were talking about her?
Is she really that close a friend?
Consider the questions above and get a little more information before making a decision.

It sounds way too childish for mature adult behavior. How old are you and your friend?

You should either:

1) say sorry a million times even though you didn't do anything. This will make her feel better.

2) Ignore everyone that says that and become her friend again...

at any cost.

well, I think you should go to that person and say' we have been friends for a while and I don't take friendship lightly and if you are truly my friend you will believe me and when people say this stuff' (which are lies) you have to tell them that you don't believe it and have to stick up for our friendship' tell her that, you see when people see you have a great friendship some people get very jealous , and will do and say things to mess with it so its important to be honest with each other and also keep the communication open with each other and also stick up for each other, if she don't agree with this then she is not a true friend, its important to be true to your Friends, they are very precious so be a good friend and keep your good friends. you will learn in life that that's what matters, so good luck hope i helped ya' peace

Well first you should just tell your Friend that u weren't and if she's your real friend then she'll believe you regardless what other people might say and if not then i guess she really isn't your friend.

If you're not doing what these people say, then tell her they're lying. If you are, fess up and apologize. She might even forgive you.

Accept that you have no power over others, only over yourself.
You know the truth, so be content with that.
