Two problems with this... one, unless he is the adolescent's legal guardian it is/should be legally and certainly morally wrong.
Two, at age 15, even leaving out any possible sexual nature of this type of behaviour, spanking is extremely humiliating for someone who is becoming a young adult: they are too old for spanking! Personally, as a once single parent who did spank on occasion, I would not condone any partner disciplining my child.
Peace

I think spanking a 15 yr old is worthless unless you enjoy bending budding young women over your knee. The only way you might be messing up is to let your bf treat your daughter in that way. It may not be something sexual on his part, but it's so close to the line you wouldn't be able to know for sure. You have to get him to stop or you have to throw him out.
There are other ways to go about disciplining teenagers. Grounding is the most common. Spanking is for 2 yr olds.
You'd be protecting your daughter by getting that guy away from her.

YES very much so. He should not be touching your daughter at all. She is a young lady she really does not need to be spanked by him or anyone for that matter. You really should talk to him about it. No matter what she does hitting or spanking is not going to get you anywhere. It will just add fuel to the fire She will remember these things that happen to here for the rest of her life.

UH.............YES!!!!
It is very inappropriate for your boyfriend to be spanking your child. Talking to them is something completly different. Now maybe HUGE MAYBE.... if you and your boyfriend were married then maybe some form of punishment would be warranted, but not spanking.
I am engaged to a man who is the same age as me (32), my daughter is 5 and he would NEVER spank my child!!!!!!!!!!! It is not his place.
I am not saying that you are a bad parent. I would just suggest to your boyfriend another tactic on discipline.
Good luck with everything.

I think spanking a child is very dangerous because:
-instead of instilling good behavior, you're instilling fear
-Spanking doesn't explain what your daughter did wrong
-You have give clear discipline by setting ground rules and making her aware that if she doesn't clean her room for example, she won't go out next weekend. This always worked for me.

don't ever let a boyfreind discipline your child period. it is your responsibility, not his. he needs to stay out of it. besides he could go to jail, and your daughter will end up resenting you. i promise. it happened to me several times and i hate my mom to this day.
