Well i answered and now im getting access lockout emails from my old bank account saying theres multiple attempts to access my acct with the wrong password. How did they do it? I owe money on this old acct, so im not sure if i should call them or how i should protect myself?

There are lots of fake emails and phising schemes, did you every reply or respond to a request to update your password or account info? I myself have seen very authentic looking ebay emails asking you to go to the site and update your data. Most reputable companies never ask you to update or give them your password. Did you reply to any emails asking for personal data?
To protect yourself, update to internet 7 if you can, it has build in anti phising logic to help identify fake websites, NEVER give out your personal data, and dont respond to any emails asking you to update or log in with your data. Always go to the known website address. A lot of times phising will use real looking emails, but the URL to click on is some weird address and not the proper URL of the company.
If you cannot log into your banks website, immediately contact them and advise them you think your account has been compromised, and they should be able to get you a new login and see if they have stolen or damaged your account. Good luck.

Just call the bank do not reply to any email that you get, ebay will always use your name not Member. Be suspicious of any emails that you get asking for information, even if you click on the link it might download spyware on your computer.

Probably because you clicked on a bogus link in an email . You must get in touch with EBAY ASAP, and stop wondering how it happened for now, and get it fixed....
