Probably the easiest way is to buy it from a pyrotechnic supply house. You can get several grades and types of powdered Al from Skylighter or other seller (search pyrotechnic supply on Google).

If you just need a bit and don't care so much about price, you can take the powder from an etch-a-sketch, wash it with a degreaser and separate out the plastic balls that are mixed in with it. You will get a pretty fine grade of aluminum powder.

Hi. File some aluminum bar stock. Are you looking to make a thermite reaction? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermite
