I am 5 months pregnant (w/a girl) and feel fat and ugly. I am normally apprx. 110 pds and now I'm 135 pds. With my first 2 (boys) I actually felt pretty. Now I am tired, I have vericose veins that kill my legs, My back is in so much pain, Stretching is uncomfortable, and I just feel fat and ugly! I'm having a bad day. Have any moms out there felt like this during pregnancy? Did you feel better after delivery? Did the vericose veins go away?

I feel vile being pregnant. I feel i have lost my identity being pregnant and that it is wrecking my body. Of course i feel precious having such a gift but i feel like a dairy cow and every day i get bigger and feel grosser.

With my first pregnancy, i carried a girl and from day 1 i went round! I piled on the pounds and people now say i looked awful.

Now at 34 weeks with a boy, i have had up and down days. My weight has stayed in proportion a bit more but struggling these last few weeks to stay trim. My skin is bad due to hormones. Everyday is a struggle to look decent enough to go outside. All my maternity clothes are looking awful cause my bump is so big.

I actually have been suffering pre natal depression due to feeling so vile that i pray does not escalate in to post natal depression. It is the huge amounts of hormones i think.

It is sooo difficult trying to be ladylike and walk elegantly when feeling like i am a hippo about to topple over.

The silver lining is, soon it will be over and that beautiful baby will be totally worth it and you can start getting back in control with your body and mind.

My third trimester has actually been the best one for me as i have been feeling contented and dealing with it better for some weird reason.Dont let anyone put you down, you look great i bet!

Good luck!

P.s. My partner started calling me Donner out of 'Donner Kebab' until my 3 year old daughter told him off. Bless her! We are at present taking a break :)

oh yeah, I am in the same boat. 5 1/2mos pregnant with number 3 and feel like the good year blimp, lol. Your first 2 were boys and they were probably about the same type of pregnancy right? I know it sounds like an old wives tale but girls and boys are different during pregnancy. Also, you are on number 3 and a bit older so it is harder on your body. I have actually only gotten vericose veins on this pregnancy so I can't tell you if they will go away yet, but typically I think you are stuck with them, lol sorry.
You need to keep your feet up as much as possible and take the pressure off of your legs that wil help SOOO much. Just remember you are 1/2 way there!!! Good luck!

I know exactly how you feel. When are you due? I'm almost 21 weeks. I have actually lost weight with this pregnancy. With my first I gained 45lbs. Funny thing I felt prettier when I was pregnant with my son. With this pregnancy, a girl I feel ugly. My hair is normally very thick and has curly ringlets. Now it cant hold curl and I have acne something I never have. I am in pain all the time. Just rolling over in bed takes an act of God lol. I also have cankles and this huge vein on my boob ewww. I hate the way I look and feel right now. You know the wives tale is that a girl always steals a mothers beauty lol.

You going to feel like that. I know I did after my 3rd child. I felt exactly how you feel. I went from 115 to 155! And 5 years later still holding old baby fat 130lb. The tiredness well I'm still tired and my son is 5. 3 children is enough for this mom. I hope you feel better. You are not alone I promise! Every mom goes through this after a few kids. She will be out in a few months and you can work the baby fat off. Just remember keep your head up!And a heads up I have 2boys and 1girl and shes the hardest child. Be prepared for that girl..............

i felt exactly like you with my first one. i gain too much weight, nothing looked right, all my clothes were uncomfortable, ect. it was horrible. i'm pretty sure that i made my hubby insane with all my griping about it. i didn't really feel better after the delivery because i had always hear that breastfeeding helps you lose weight. i gained 5 pounds after i left the hospital and didn't lose any! i wasn't even pregnant and still had to wear maternity clothes for like the first 4 months after i had him because they were the only clothes that fit. i never had varicose veins, but i heard those go away.

You know, Mercury is retrograde now. Things should get better after the 6th.

Take a bubble bath, massage those veins and make plans towards what a wonderful life you're gonna give your sweetheart.
