No. I had no heartburn at all during my pregnancy for my daughter and she came out with a full head of long thick hair (think Tina Turner in the 80s) Her hair was so long and thick that a woman in a department store once accused me of putting a wig on my daughter and had the nerve to try and pull the "wig" off my daughter's head.

That is one of the biggest mommy's myths ever. But I know that my last two sons were born with a head full of hair and I had the worse case of heartburn ever. So who know's if it is a myth or real. most will say a myth though. lol But it is nice to think that maybe your heartburn is actually worth it. goodluck

I had a little bit of heartburn with my son, and he had soooo much hair. So, in my case it was not true, or else I would have been miserable with indigestion and heartburn, going based upon how much hair he had when he was born.

I doubt it. But my baby had a rug of hair on it's head. But so does my husband and so do I. Heartburn just sucks. I ate Tums all day long for the last trimester. Good Luck!

They have been doing research on this and it is turning out to be true. It was true for me............the more heartburn I had, the more hair the kid had. I have had 5 of them!!
***studies have shown that in pregnant women, high levels of estrogen and other hormones can relax the sphincter at the bottom of the esophagus, causing heartburn. The same hormones, other studies show, can influence fetal hair growth.

You will likely find that during pregnancy, people will tell you all sorts of "old wives tales". Most have no truth to them at all, they are just fun to think about while waiting nine months for your wee bundle.
