It depends on which state you live in. In some states, the age of consent is 16, sometimes it is 17 or higher. Take a pregnancy test. If you are already four months, it is important that you see a OB/GYN (unless your religion or belief system is against it).

Yep. He's over 18 and you're under, and there's at least 3 years between your ages. He won't get in trouble just because you had sex or just because you're pregnant...but he will if your parents are upset and press charges. It's called statutory rape...even if you consented to the act, it's considered rape because you are a child and he is an adult (at least in the eyes of the law). If you think you're four months pregnant, you really need to take a home pregnancy test. No reason to be scared, and no reason to not know! Just do it ASAP because if you are pregnant, you and your baby need medical care as soon as possible. The hospital or doctor won't call the law on him, but your parents can. I hope that doesn't happen, so that if you are pregnant you can be as happy and healthy as possible. Good luck to you!

First of all, you say you know what love is. At 16, you don't. Don't get mad but hear me out. Love is more than a feeling of "I want to be with him/her day and night" or "I want to have sex". It is truly caring about the other person's well being! Do you know how many young girls your age are getting pregnant? Girls just like you who think they are in love? A baby is a BIG responsibility....we're talking--your whole life changes! You just don't know.....A friend of my 16 year old daughter's was "so in love" with her boyfriend and they were going to get married...long story short--she's going to have a baby in a couple of months and the relationship is kaput. Even IF your boyfriend sticks with you, what kind of future do you have? And most importantly, what kind of future does your baby have? Have you even thought about him or her? Love is giving, lust is getting.....Love is responsible and does what is RIGHT not what it wants to do that feels good at the moment.....A responsible person looks at the CONSEQUENCES of their actions before jumping into something you don't know anything about......IF you are pregnant and I urge you to take a test and see a doctor,
be responsible enough to give your baby a good home (adoption) or else, straighten up and provide the best life for your child. You may have to finish your education, get a job, and get quality care for the baby while you work....It won't be easy, but the baby deserves it. And yes, a twenty year old can get in big trouble for having sex with a minor!

Not in the state of florida. florida a 16 year old can have sex with someone 23. It depends on what state you are in, each state has different laws.
maybe you should also get a pregnancy test. 10 months is nothing compared to 18 years so I really hope you two love each other.

Please take a pregnancy test RIGHT AWAY to find out for sure if you are pregnant. You can buy one at any drug store.

By the way, the No. 1 sign of pregnancy is missing your period. Have you not gotten a period for four months? If not, then DEFINITELY see your doctor right away.

If you are pregnant, PLEASE get to a OB-GYN (obstetrician) as soon as possible. Because you are so young and your body is still maturing, you are at high risk for certain pregnancy complications. You need medical care throughout your pregnancy so both you and the baby will be healthy.

For instance, women having a baby in their teenage years are at higher risk for preeclampsia/toxemia, which can be deadly to the mother. So just go to the OB and get regular prenatal care. This is VERY important.

good luck.

First of all, go to the doctor. Find out! Planned parenthood can see you and your family will not have to find out. The baby will need prenatal care. It reall is important for having a healthy baby. If you are pregnant then yes, he can get in trouble but you should still tell your parents. They are usually the ones who decide rather to pursue charges. If you are not pregnant, then please get on birth control and avoid the stress and an unplanned pregnancy. It is hard to be 16 and have a baby. Good luck!

In most states that's called statutory rape - someone 18 or over having sex with someone under the age of 18. Look, there are serious reasons why it's considered rape even if the sex was totally consensual - for one, your brain just isn't fully developed yet - that's not a put-down, that's just a fact of adolescence (we all have to go through it).

Depends on the laws in the state in which you live. Most times unless you or your parents go to the police or press charges, he will not get in trouble. But in some states he could be convicted and forced to register as a sex offender. My advice would be to research the law where you live. ALSO go to the freaking OB/GYN. You should be on prenatal vitamins and getting regular medical care if you are, in fact, pregnant. Geez girl!

If your parents want to they can cause some trouble over this, but maybe you can talk them out of making this matter worse than it needs to be. Your 16 so you are young, but at least you and your boyfriend are doing the adult thing to care for this child.
