This is an iffy.. um after a miscarriage for up to 8 weeks ( depending how far along you were when your miscarried) a women will still have HGC( the hormone produced by pregnancy that is detected by pregnancy test) in her body.. but it is not uncommon for a women to become pregnant on her next ovulation after a miscarriage.. I say do to the Doctor, a blood test can measure the amount of HGC and the doctor can give you an answer as to whether you are expecting, or still recovering.. good luck!

The information that I found says that when a preganncy ends early on the HCG should leave pretty quickly, however a full term birth may cause the HCG to last up to 6 weeks. So, this makes me think that 6 weeks would be the longest it would last after any sort of pregnancy. But I'll let you draw your own conclusions from the article:

The question is "Could I have a false positive?"

hard to say. I have read that if you recently had a miscarriage you can get a false positive. I do know if the line is faint or not it still means its positive.

You are not pregnant again.....its simply the hormones still in your body from the last baby...i went through this before...go to ur obgyn and have them do a blood pregnancy test...they will be able to tell you how high your hormone levels are and by that they will be able to tell you if you are pregnant again or if it is from the baby you miscarried....your doctor should have told you all this when the miscarriage happened.

How soon after? Your body may still have the pregnancy chemicals in your body that the test is testing. Watch for false tests and check with a DR. Their is a reason why they have that after their names.
