So today I get to work and I see that a girl got promoted. I'm thinking, "What the hell is that?" She has been there 4 months, she works 3 or 4 days a week, she doesn't work full shifts but she gets promoted? I, on the other hand, work all the time, I barely take my break, my productivity is high, I always work overtime, etc. And I get shaffled? What the hell is that? Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, that has happened to me. I was told I was getting a promotion only to come in one day and find that they had promoted a brand new employee instead of me! My employer didn't even have the guts to tell me herself. I guess they thought I would figure things out on my own.
I promptly quit the job without a notice. If they weren't going to honor their word and be loyal to me, then I didn't see why I should honor them with a notice.
