I did landscaping at 16.. it's a good workout. Building rock walls, waterscapes, mulching, weeding, flower stuff.. paid pretty good. Also worked in an animal hospital in the kennel takin care of the animals, eventually became a vet tech, learned on the job. Both fun.

Teenagers usually don't have a lot of acquired job experience, but this doesn't stop you from looking. You will have several options ...
Dishwashing/bussing tables in a restaurant (servers must be of minimum age to serve alcohol to customers)
Working at a car wash
Landscaping assistance at a golf course
Mowing the neighbour's lawns
Housesitting for the vacationing neighbours
Dog-walking
These are just a few ideas ... I would recommend that you get applying sooner rather than later. Student summer jobs are popular and hiring is done earlier.

Depending where you live...in the city most kids start at a fast food restaurant and the country most kids start at fast foods or at farms..there are some towns and city that have programs that hire kids for the summer...another place is there are a lot of summer camps that can use the help watching younger children...whatever you do good luck.

My son was a busboy in a restaurant. For a boy or girl you can make quite a bit of money over the summer bussing tables. You make a small hourly wage and get a portion of the waiter's tips. Most restaurants won't let you wait tables until you're 18 but once your 18 you can make even more waiting tables. My son put himself through college on his tips.
Also, if you do this over the summer they'll take you back on weekends and holidays when you want some extra money. Most restaurants will work around a teen's schedule.
