If you want to make a lot of money and meet people, then bartending is the way to go. If it's the right atmosphere, you'll make a decent amount of cash and its one of the easiest ways to hook up with people while in college; if that's important to you.
Otherwise, I worked at Subway and NEVER went grocery shopping or paid for my food.

When I was in college, a friend of mine worked at one of the university's paid parking lots. They took the money when the cars were leaving. It was a great job for her while she was in college because (1) the job was on campus and easily accessible and (2) while there were no cars paying, she just studied and used her time all the while getting paid.

Just an idea...

During the college year I used to work at the library, in the ready reserve room (where they keep copies of all the textbooks being used for people to check out and use in the library). It used to save me money as I worked evenings or opening, worked the reserve room or a desk somewhere, checked out the book while I was working at the desk and could study. It meant that I didn't have to buy a book or two (so that saved me money) and I was able to study and get paid at the same time. Ended up getting me a job as a research assistant to one of my professors my senior year.

Just post some flyer's up at your school like I did and your job will be Shopping or Saving or on the Internet like this telling someone else about getting your name on the list of many and who knows in a couple of years when we get out of school our careers could be world travelers or stay at home freelance (yet wealthy) Bums...

It depends on what you are interested in, what kind of income you need, and what year of college.
