I guess I'm not sure what claims you're talking about... The (verifiably true) claims I hear about Wal Mart is that more than 90% of their employees have health care coverage, they gave more than $245 million to charity in 2005, and they save the average American family more than $2,000 per year.

Wal-Mart collected on behalf of the state of California more than $783.4 million in sales taxes in FYE 2006, and they paid more than $139.7 million in state and local taxes here in CA for the same period.

Oh, and they employ more than 70,000 people in California alone. Given that unemployment in our state is currently around 4%, I don't think those people would have much trouble finding another job if they ever wanted to. I guess they're stoked.

particular I do and characteristic for many of my grownup existence. I desire the fewer than stated charm of my Wal-Mart cloth cabinet. the certainty that I under no circumstances experience broke paying for there is yet another plus. fyi i'm disabled besides- if that has any relevance
