I would suggest finding out how much your COMPETITION charges in your area and base your price on that. If you charge more, be prepared to jusify why (i.e. extra free services, higher quality/better equipment, etc.).

If you are a new competitor in your market, you might want to take a low-cost strategy where you offer the cheapest price. THEN, outperform your competition to justify higher quotes in the future after you earn a good reputation.

Advertising will help tremendously when growing your business. Word-of-mouth is the most powerful form of advertising but can work very slowly b/c you are depending on your customers to get the word out. I suggest, if you plan on growing your biz quickly, do some local advertising in the newspaper or yellow pages. Just be prepared to handle quick growth WITHOUT sacrificing quality.

Ok I live in So. California my house sits on a 1/4 acre lot, I pay 100.00 a month for lawn service....so really it depends on the area you live in and the going rate, supply and demand my friend... call your local landscapers and find out what they charge then charge a bit less....
